A bit different message. This is a love your neighbor as yourself message. I just got off the phone with Richard Gillard, who in addition to being a parishioner is also an official part of our state's disaster relief group. He asks that as a parish we gear up to help. We may need to offer a shower or a meal to someone in a shelter. If you have towels wash cloth and new toothbrushes and toothpaste that you can part with, bag them individually for a relief kit. And pray for those affected and for the storm to do as little damage as possible. Much love to you all. Be safe.
If you would be willing to shelter a family, couple, or single person from one of our coastal churches who is leaving the coast or low lying area please email me: firstname.lastname@example.org and I will pass on your contact info to our diocesan task force. Or text me at 956-285-2753 Let me know how many people you could host. Thank you.
