Dear all,
Several quick things. First, continue to pray for healing for Lily, Stephen Hausser and Sarah Salinas Hausser's daughter who is being treated in the hospital for some serious viral infections. There are others on our prayer list who can use our prayers and whether you know them or not that you also pray for others on our list printed in our program each week. "O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your servant Lily, and all others, the help of your power, that their sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." (BCP p.458)

Second, I have spoken with people in our congregation, some of whom are happy with the results of the presidential election and some who are disappointed, and some who have friends or relatives who are LBGQT+, or who have questionable immigration status or amnesty petitions and they are worried and fearful. I commend our new Presiding Bishop's letter to you. He is far more articulate than me. Next, several parish updates. We began our tradition of putting ribbons up to remember our loved ones who have died. If you cannot be here to make a ribbon let us know and we will make one for you. We will have them available each Sunday in the church through November 24th, and leave them up thru December 15th.
AND!!! we are planning again to have the second annual "Happy Birthday Baby Jesus Party." Last years was fun and we think this years will be better. (We learned a few things!) Please save the date: Saturday, Dec. 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church.
Last, I commend this prayer from the Book of Common Prayer to all. Book of Common Prayer p. 823 "Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart [and especially the hearts of the people of this land], that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

!!!! Estamos planeando nuevamente tener la segunda fiesta anual "Feliz cumpleaños del Niño Jesús". Los años pasadosfueron divertidos y creemos que estos años serán mejores. (¡Aprendimos algunas cosas!) Por favor reserve la fecha: sábado 14 de diciembre de 4 a 6 p.m. en la iglesia.
Por último, recomiendo a todos esta oración del Libro de Oración Común. Libro de oración común p. 823 "Concede, oh Dios, que tu Espíritu santo y vivificante conmueva todo corazón humano y especialmente el corazón de la gente de esta tierra, que las barreras que nos dividen se desmoronen, las sospechas desaparezcan y los odios cesen; que sanadas nuestras divisiones, vivamos en justicia y paz; por Jesucristo nuestro Señor.
