The Story NIV: The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People by Adam Barr
THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD” IS MORE THAN JUST A CLICHÉ. God goes to great lengths to rescue lost and hurting people. That is what The Story is all about: the story of the Bible, God’s great love affair with humanity. Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps you into the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Using the clear, accessible text of the NIV Bible, it allows the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible to read like a novel. And like any good story, The Story is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption; and this story’s true!

US Citizenship - Just over a week ago, our Parishioner, Andres Godines became a US citizen! Please congratulate him on this new stage in life!
Confirmation Class - This September, when our bishop visits the following people will be getting confirmed: , Frances Almaguer, Julia Glass, Olivia Glass, Nelly Holland, Jack Paul, Annalise Paul, Diego Rubio, Arlethe Siftsoff, and Ashley Siftsoff. Please pray for each of these people as they answer God's call to be filled more with the Holy Spirit and continue to grow in their vocation and ministry in Christ.
Moving...and missed - Many of you know Rich and Lyn Gillard. Rich was our Junior Warden, and Lyn was a reader and wonderful intercessor. They are moving to a beautiful part of Washington State this summer. Thanks so much to both of you. We pray for a wonderful landing in your new home!
Changes - Some of you noticed that our pianist, Fritz Gechter seems to be gone a lot this summer. Fritz is stepping back from every Sunday music ministry. Suzanne Remo, his spouse, has recently taken a new position at Texas State University in San Marcos, which thanks be to God is much closer than her previous position at Palo Duro in Amarillo!! So, this gives them a chance to actually have some much needed time together without a day long drive one way. Fritz will continue to fill in on occasion, but we are very grateful that Suzanne and he are literally closer!
Deaths - A number of people close to this parish have passed away in recent months. This past Thursday we had a service for Mary Lois Sames, sister of Hank, Dick, and John. Mary passed away after a lengthy and difficult illness. Thanks to so many of you for your support this past week with the service and more.
