Advent gives us an opportunity to re-connect with God. As this Advent begins, please pick up our free devotional booklets from Forward, Day by Day. The readings are short and a good way to start each day of Advent as a parish. I will be reading them daily and commenting occasionally on the Christ Church Facebook page. And please pick up our free Advent Calendars for each child in your family. It’s a good way to count down the days until Christmas and help children re-connect with the Christmas story. If you cannot pick your copies up this Sunday let us know and we will mail them to you.
Second, there are several upcoming events and projects listed below where an hour or or two of your time can make a difference for Christ Church and the ministry we do as a parish in our community. I realize that this is a very busy month for all of us, but if you are able to give some of your time I would greatly appreciate it.
Much love in Christ, Father Paul Frey

Professors Al Rodriguez, Stephanie Ramirez, and Jay Alaniz bring divinity and counseling program students taking the January “Encuentro Course” to learn about Hispanic culture and ministry, as well as some realities of border life. They would like to have a chance to meet Christ Church Parishioners that Saturday at our Parish Hall.
