Healing and wholeness
Healing. injury confront all of us or those we love. In the gospels Jesus often heals people instantly or almost instantly. I believe that Jesus still does so. But of course many people do not get healed. Why do some get well and others do not? I plan to share some about this mystery this Sunday at Christ Church in Laredo. |

Ash Wednesday - Give God a Valentine
When was the last time you gave God something? When we step forward to receive ashes, we are admitting we believe that our time in this life is limited. But we are also re-committing our lives to worship, prayer, the church community, and service. Those are the ways we can show God our love. As you come forward on February 14th, Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day, and hear those familiar words from Genesis 3:19, "Thou art dust, and to dust thou shalt return, offer yourself once more as a valentine to God. |
