Quinceaños

Quinceañeras, while not sacraments, are important life events. A quince gives youth who've been baptized an opportunity, (in addition to confirmation), at the time of their 15th birthday to make another commitment to Christ as they move forward into life as young adults. We ask them to commit once again to the promises made at baptism during the service.

Our expectation as a church is that the y
outh reaffirm their faith in Christ and take responsibility for living out the Christian life, reaffirming their baptismal vows.

We come to this event to celebrate the young person and expect once more that God the Holy Spirit to pour new grace into those coming in faith. 

In planning the service, you need to decide on readings. You can have one, two or three readings plus a psalm, but the last one must come from one the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John). Some readings that are often used are listed in the pdf below.
