Our monthly parish luncheon following the 11 a.m. service is Sunday, August 7th. Bring a dish, dessert, or drink to share with others.
We will be praying for all our young people headed back to school and all those who serve them as teachers, administrators, and other school workers. And as our drought deepens, we continue to pray for rain.
Our New Leaven food program on Saturday's has been blessed by volunteers. We are still learning as we shift from a weekday program to a Saturday morning format. In July we served 171 families, or about 40 families each week, 379 who are adults and 308 who are children. We set up from 8 to 9 and give out food from 9 to 11 each Saturday morning. Volunteers are welcome.
In our worship, we are blest to have a growing choir who would be happy to welcome more members. We also hope to train some of you to become once a month Sunday School teachers for our 25-minute Sunday school program. Training and resources are provided!
We will be training new Altar Servers / Acolytes right after the 11 a.m. service on August 21st. Current and new acolytes are welcome. We will have a short snack lunch in the parish hall, and then a 30 to 45 minutes training session.
