This coming Sunday- Our parish Luncheon will be on July 2, after the 11 a.m. service. Our BBQ crew is not planning on cooking as it is a bit warm outside so bring a main dish, side dish, salad, or dessert to share. And if you are super motivated, make something red, white, and blue in honor of the upcoming 4th of July!

Pam Badovinac- Pam’s daughter Rachel, will join us next week on Thursday, July 6th, at 10 a.m. for a funeral service for her mom, Pam who passed away in 2020. If you are able, please come. Pam was friends with many of us and for many years our Choir leader and we still miss her. And if you would like to help as an usher, reader, acolyte, etc. please call or text Fr. Paul 956-285-2753 as soon as possible.

$$$ Summer Giving- Our giving tends to drop each summer and this year is no exception. If you can, keep your regular giving as we head into the remainder of summer. (Remember you can give online via PayPal even if you are away.)

Children’s Sunday School Chapel- We are working on revitalizing our Sunday School for the fall. For that to happen we need two ingredients: Teachers and children! More information coming soon. Puneet Gill will be working with others to get us going.

Altar Flowers- To give Altar Flowers or donations for other memorials to be included in our Sunday Bulletin use the sign up sheet in the church entrance or you can also call, email us, text Paul or Connie. Flowers cost us $85, but we accept donations in any amount and trust that it all comes out even at the end of the year.

New Leaven Food program- Thanks to your donations and volunteer work, this June the program supplied groceries to 354 families, 1,391 people, 549 of whom are children. Thank you!!

July 4th, 12 score and 7 years ago- 247 years ago, a feisty group of colonists started an independence movement. It had some flaws, and still does, but the democratic ideals of “liberty and justice for all” are a gift not just to us but to the entire world. This Sunday we will give thanks for our country and pray for her as we draw closer to celebrating the 250th anniversary in just three more years!

Lord God Almighty, in whose Name the founders of this country won liberty for themselves and for us, and lit the torch of freedom for nations then unborn: Grant that we and all the people of this land may have grace to maintain our liberties in righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Book of Common prayer, pg. 242)

OUR OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY JULY 4TH

Este domingo- tenemos almuerzo parroquial será el 2 de julio, después del servicio de las 11 a.m. Nuestro equipo de barbacoa no planea cocinar, ya que hace un poco de calor afuera, así que traiga un plato principal, una guarnición, una ensalada o un postre para compartir. Y si estás súper motivado, ¡haz algo rojo, blanco y azul en honor al próximo 4 de julio!

Pam Badovinac- La hija de Pam, Rachel, estará con nosotros la próxima semana el jueves 6 de julio a las 10 a.m. para un funeral para su mama, Pam, quien murió en 2020.) Si puede venir, por favor hágalo. Pam era amiga de muchos en la parroquia y durante muchos años nuestra líder del coro. Y si desea ayudar como ujier, lector, acólito, etc., llame o envíe un mensaje de texto a Padre Paul 956-285-2753

$$$ Donaciones de verano- nuestras donaciones tienden a disminuir cada verano y este año no es una excepción. Si puede, mantenga su donación regular mientras nos acercamos al resto del verano. (Recuerde que puede donar en línea a través de PayPal incluso si no está).

Escuela Dominical- Estamos trabajando para revitalizar nuestra Escuela Dominical para el otoño. Para que eso suceda necesitamos dos ingredientes: ¡Maestros y niños! Más información próximamente.
Las flores del altar y otros monumentos- conmemorativos se pueden anotar en nuestro Boletín dominical. Hay una hoja de registro en la entrada de la iglesia y también puede llamar a la oficina parroquial, enviarnos un correo electrónico, enviar un mensaje de texto o llamar a Paul o Connie.

Programa de New Leaven- Gracias a tus donaciones y trabajo voluntario, este mes de junio el programa entregó mandado a 354 familias, 1,391 personas, 549 de las cuales son niños. ¡¡Gracias!!
4 de Julio, hace 247 años - Hace 247 años, un enérgico grupo de colonos inició un movimiento de independencia. Tuvo algunos defectos, y aún los tiene, pero los ideales democráticos de libertad y justicia para todos aún resuenan poderosamente. Este domingo daremos gracias por nuestro país y oraremos por él. Imaginase, en 3 años estaremos celebrando el 250 aniversario.

Father’s Day this Sunday, June 18 – Sent pictures!
This Sunday is Father’s Day. We are asking parishioners who wish to to so to send a picture of their father to us. We will put them on our screen like we did for Mother’s Day. We will run it for two weeks so if you can’t get it in by this Saturday, send it to us early next week. Send your pic via email to: [email protected] or send if via text to 956-285-2753 (Preferably before Saturday at 5 pm.)  This is a way we can thank God for our fathers who are still with us and remember and give thanks to God for those who have gone on before us.

Sad News
Fred Hotz, former parishioner, and former vestry member passed away very unexpectedly this past week. The Hotz family moved to Coppell, Texas several years ago. Please keep Emilia his wife, and Emily, Lisette, and Greta in your prayers. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Altar Memorials - Memorials can be in the form of Altar Flowers (which cost the church $75.00 each Sunday) as well as split between flowers and a donation to one of the Community organizations, or one of our Parish Ministries click here for more info.

Thursday, July 6th, at 10 a.m. we will have a long delayed funeral service for Pam Badovinac. Pam was a music teacher at Ryan Elementary She was for many years our Choir leader and involved in many other community organizations.

Saturday, July 8th At 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. David Read will be consecrated Bishop at TMI in San Antonio

On Sunday, November 12th , we will have a parish fun day and lunch after the 11 a.m. service. We are giving thanks as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of our Capital Campaign. Stay tuned for details as fall gets closer.

Día del padre este domingo 18 de junio – ¡Envianos fotos! Este domingo es el día del padre. Estamos pidiendo a los feligreses que lo deseen que nos envíen una foto de su padre. Los pondremos en nuestra pantalla como lo hicimos para el Día de la Madre. Lo ejecutaremos durante dos semanas, así que si no puede recibirlo para este sábado, envíenoslo a principios de la próxima semana. Envíe su foto por correo electrónico a: [email protected] o envíela por mensaje de texto al 956-285-2753 (Preferiblemente antes del sábado a las 5 p. m.) Esta es una manera de agradecer a Dios por nuestros padres que todavía están con nosotros y recordar y dar gracias a Dios por los que nos han precedido.

Tristes noticias
Fred Hotz, antiguo feligrés y antiguo miembro de la junta parroquial, falleció inesperadamente la semana pasada. La familia Hotz se mudó a Coppell, Texas hace varios años. Por favor, mantenga a Emilia, su esposa, ya Emily, Lisette y Greta en sus oraciones. Los arreglos funerarios están pendientes.

El jueves 6 de julio a las 10 a. m. tendremos un funeral largamente retrasado para Pam Badovinac. Pam fue maestra de música en la Escuela Primaria Ryan. Fue durante muchos años nuestra líder del coro y estuvo involucrada en muchas otras organizaciones comunitarias.

Sábado 8 de julio A las 11 a. m. El Rev. Dr. David Read será consagrado obispo en TMI en San Antonio
