Father's Day Sunday and more...

     We will be celebrating Father's Day this Sunday at all three services. Last year we displayed pictures of fathers and grandfathers. If you sent a picture or two or three last year, we still have those. If you did not and would like to do so, or want to send another picture, text the picture to me, Fr. Paul at 956-285-2753 or email it to [email protected] and put Father’s Day in the subject. Please get it to us before Friday afternoon.
   We know that summer is an opportunity for families to gather, go on vacation, and more. I want to encourage you to spend time with family. And I want to encourage you to continue your giving to Christ Church even if you are away. You can use the Vanco link or paypal or send a check, or even use cash! All of them help support us during the months when our giving usually drops some.  
      Our New Leaven program continues through the summer. We will have two more Saturdays in June where we give food to folks registered for our food ministry. June 15 and June 22 from 9 to 11. Students in middle school and high school will get community service hours for volunteering to help pack and load groceries. Contact us for volunteer information. We also have some volunteer opportunities that are not time specific so if you would like to help contact us and we can talk. There is a sign-up sheet in the church entryway.
     Every Wednesday, from @ 11:45 to @ 1:00 a group of men from Christ Church meet for lunch at Rochas. Join us anytime, and if you want to be added to the text reminder list let us know.
     Every Thursday at 10 a.m. till @ 10:15 Mary Wyers hosts an intercessory prayer conference call. Call 725-735-9014 at 10 to add your prayers.
    Our next Baptism will be Sunday, July21st at the 11:00 a.m. service. Please fill out an online baptism application for the child, (or adult), being baptized bey July 14th or call the church office to do so by phone. 956-242-0448
     Flowers – We are always happy to put thanksgiving and memorial notices in our Sunday Bulletins and we accept donations of any size for the cost of flowers that Sunday. Call the church office 956-242-0448 or write in your memorial on the flower chart in the Church entryway.
 
     Celebraremos el Día del Padre este domingo en los tres servicios. El año pasado mostramos fotografías de padres y abuelos. Si envió una foto, (o dos o tres el año pasado), todavía las tenemos. Si no lo hizo y le gustaría hacerlo, o desea enviar otra foto, envíeme un mensaje de texto con la foto, Padre Paul al 956-285-2753 o envíalo por correo electrónico a [email protected] y pon el Día del Padre en el asunto. Por favor, envíanoslo antes del viernes por la tarde.
    Sabemos que el verano es una oportunidad para que las familias se reúnan, se vayan de vacaciones y más. Quiero animarte a que te tomes tiempo con la familia. Y quiero animarte a que continúes dando a Christ Church incluso si estás fuera. Puede utilizar el enlace de Vanco o PayPal, enviar un cheque o incluso utilizar efectivo. Todos ellos nos ayudan a mantenernos durante los meses en los que nuestras donaciones suelen disminuir un poco. 
   Nuestro programa New Leaven continúa durante el verano. Tendremos dos sábados más en junio donde daremos comida a personas registradas en nuestro ministerio de alimentación. 15 y 22 de junio de 9 a 11. Los estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria obtendrán horas de servicio comunitario como voluntarios para ayudar a empacar y cargar alimentos. Contáctenos para información de voluntariado. También tenemos algunas oportunidades de voluntariado que no son de tiempo específico, así que si desea ayudar, contáctenos y podemos hablar. Hay una hoja de inscripción en la entrada de la iglesia.
     Todos los miércoles, de @ 11:45 a @ 1:00 un grupo de hombres de Christ Church se reúnen para almorzar en Rochas. Únase a nosotros en cualquier momento y, si desea que lo agreguemos a la lista de recordatorios de texto, háganoslo saber.

     Nuestro próximo Bautismo será el domingo 21 de julio en el servicio de las 11:00 a.m. Complete una solicitud de bautismo en línea para el niño (o adulto) que será bautizado antes del 14 de julio o llame a la oficina de la iglesia para hacerlo por teléfono. 956-242-0448
