October 2022 Thanks to all of you who made the parish party on Saturday, October 22nd at Elena Holloway's house such a fun event. It was wonderful to have a church family event with no agenda other than eating, talking, and laughing together. Several folks suggested we plan another event in the not-too-distant future. (AND we have a few dishes and items that were left behind. We have them in the parish office so call us to arrange a pickup.) We NEED your rummage. All those items in your garage, storage shed, those dishes you keep saying your going to give away, and more are welcome to find a new home and benefit Christ Church. Bring things on Sundays before church, Saturday mornings during our Food Distribution (9 to 11) or call us at 723-5714 to arrange a drop off time. Wednesday, our Hybrid Adult Bible Study on Mark's Gospel continues from 7 to 8 p.m.. Use the link for more info: Paul & Anne Frey's home and on Zoom. We will celebrate All Saints a bit early, on Sunday, October 30 As we have done for many years, we will have ribbons available to write the names of our friends, family, and other loved ones who have passed on. We hang them in the church and keep them up through Advent. Helping with New Leaven We can use your help feeding hungry families in our community. There are things that can be done mid-week such as packing bags of canned goods for distribution on Saturdays. And there is always a way to help on Saturdays, from helping fill our registration forms for new guests, to carrying groceries to peoples cars, and more. We would love to have your help once a month or more. Sign up in the Church entry, online, or call or text Fr. Paul at 956-285-2753. Just a reminder that we plan to always have our 11 a.m. service online and in person. If you do join us online, comment and let us know you are online. And remember we have a weekly 10 minute "prayer meeting" on a conference call. Mary Wyers starts us off and we can all add our prayers. You can call in to the call Thursdays at 10 a.m. (or a minute or two before) by calling 725-735-9014 2023 Family Camp Mustang Island Family Camp - This coming summer 2023 many of our parishioners plan to go Family Camp, Session 9 which starts on Thursday, July 27 and ends Sunday, July 30th.
